The beautiful blue peaks rose out in the distance. I sat on a ledge. Just sat there and looked out before me at the pine forests, the peaks, and the rolling hills. Beautiful! Jacki, it was so refreshing to be with you at your home. So refreshing... I'm glad I could share it with you!

Work has become exciting, and I am so thankful for that. Research projects keep my mind busy, and random tasks keep me occupied. I started this week with a new purpose: to love my co-workers. "Consider others better than yourself." "Do not complain about anything." ...Words to live by...

New friends are exhilerating. Old friends are refreshing. I am so thankful for both!

Bad stomach virus....no fun....no fun at all...

So, I had the race yesterday, and felt awful 3 hours leading up to the race, okay for the first 3 miles, weak for the next 6, and full of adrenaline for the last. Well, I finished. I was talking to God the entire time, because otherwise I'm sure I would have decided to sit on the side of the road and not make it to the finish line. I wasn't able to keep any food or liquid down. I'm not sure what energy kept me going.

"Finish the race." "Run for the prize." "Keep your eyes on Jesus - the author and perfector of your faith." "Run with perserverence." It was intense.

Well, the goal was 2:00, and I made it in 2:08. Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

Thoughts continually run through my head. God has called us here for a purpose, and I try to live daily for that calling. How can I be his vessel when I sit at a desk for 8 hours? How can I continually adjust my attitude so as to work as unto the Lord and not unto men? My God, my loving and faithful God, has instilled in my passions beyond imaginations. He has allowed me to dream, and to see those dreams come true. Every step along the journey is important. Every step draws me closer and closer to his perfect will. I don't want my life to be a waste. I don't want to regret a single moment God has blessed me with. Who knows...I could be run over by a truck tomorrow (ok, that's kind of morbid). Jesus Christ, I think upon your sacrifice. You became nothing - poured out to death. Many times, I think about this gift of life, and I'm in that place once again. I'm in that place of complete awe and adoration.

I look up at the majestic mountains and smile. I see beautiful strangers, and think of their stories. I run, and run, and run with persistence to reach the finish line. Oh God, let me reach your finish line. Let me make your heart glad, as you make mine.

Look at his beauty--wherever it is.

10-Miler...Coming soon...

Today was a long, but great day. My brother floor (the Davis 1 lions) served us girls a Valentines dinner up in MSC 3. The food was wonderful, the music was fantastic, and it was an all-around great time! I would write more...but I'm just incredibly tired...

Do you ever feel like you've come to the end of yourself and into the arms of God? That's how I feel right now. I feel like I'm surviving because he is holding me up. I feel like he is directing every single step I'm taking these days. I feel like he is my Savior and my friend.

I wish I could have been at chapel this morning, but I was off judging debates (which I absolutely loved doing).

Tonight, the Project Ethiopia team showed "Invisible Children" to about 150ish students. It is such a powerful documentary that hits on the plight of kids in Africa. At the end, I presented the KNOW campaign and Project Ethiopia and there was great response! Oh Lord, guide this project. Lead us, pave the way, draw us to your children that you care so deeply about.

And I'm an official candidate now! I'm running for Student Body President.

The website is under construction...and will be fully up and running by Sunday night! But you can go and check it out!
